Wrapped up a super rad Vancouver summer by stopping en route to Toronto in NYC for a week. Traveled with http://www.meganlau.com/ and http://andychung.ca/

Stayed with my friends Cat and Josh (if you guys had websites i’d rather drop your names that way). Thanks guys - you’re the best.

Me and Andy flew from Vancouver via a redeye that had a stopover in Minneapolis which I think is in Minnesota then to NYC. Showed up a little jet lagged. Luckily we had an ambitious schedule of eating, chilling hard in parks, and having fun.

Cat’s apartment was super close to Ess-a-Bagel for our authentic NYC bagel breakfast experience - locals ask “what’s hot”.

A new uncompleted Fraaank Geeehrryyyy being built.

Megan’s face shows her disappointment with SANAA’s New Museum Design. Particularly in their tricky washroom faucet design- I for one agree - some overworked unpaid architecture intern screwed up for sure.

And now, eat, chill in park, repeat: Shake shackkkk…

Moma chilling

Sleeping on Cat’s floor or coach + late night Que Bajo Latin Cumbieton Dance Party’s at Santo’s Party House meant we could fall asleep anywhere. Case in point: rock in Central Park.

Went to PIES AND THIGHS in Brooklyn for some soul food. It was so rad. Out of t-shirts though :(

I got some thighs then got too full to get the pies. I had a bite of Andy and Megan’s pies though though.

Post meal chill session in Williamsburg. Plenty of hipsters hanging out…

Our local NYC bar - The International near Gramercy Park.

David Chang might sound like he’s got a big ego on http://www.vbs.tv/watch/munchies/david-chang but we went to Momofuku Milk Bar where I got Purple Drink softserve and Cereal Milk softserve. It’s basically what it sounds like. Totally awesome. Also amazing corn cooking- tastes like sweeter cornbread.

Bye NYC, back to Toronto.
