Fraser, Will and I entered an architecture/landscape competition to design a skateboard plaza for Rotterdam. Unfortunately we did not place and therefore did not get 2,000 Eurodollars. Anyways, here are some images from the competition entry.
The design was a pretty modest proposal of planted areas, seating areas/skateable ledges, lighting features, and two transitioned “waves”.
The project was on display in Rotterdam at the MAMA-Showroom Media and Moving Art:
